Going home (day 6)

Woke up at 5:20am and loaded the car (not the Star Wars stuff though, brought enough down, and just as much going back).  Made it back in 6 hours, finding out I had to work, as my... manager said I "added" the fact I was still on vacation on Monday BEFORE I left.  Couldn't win that battle.  HAVE to find aother job (need to win the lottery is more like it).

Gas in Orlando (in general) was 20-30 cents more than 'round here.  People are stoopid and rotten no matter where you are, and though I miss my friends down there, it was more enjoyable to visit then stay.  I'd rather have less taxes, a bigger home, cheaper gas, guest star on a TV show, and 4 seasons myself.

Jobs are at a 25 year low (as they proclaim, but OBVIOUSLY it's MUCH WORSE), so that's everywhere, and if I had the money, I would go on more vacations, but this trip was important, as I wanted to get my friends in my film, as it's for me foremost!  Not looking to make money off this, and wanted people that I could trust.  Still trying to finish off the little bits and wondering still, but learned that I couldn't trust at least one person (friend of a friend), and all in all, just want to prove to myself I could do this, finish writing, and be happy that it will all end in 3 years, as it's DEFINATELY time for a new beginning....

 ROADHOUSE.

Now Playing: Going home (day 5)

Sunday.  John got to Julia's early!  When I finally got there, John, well... could no longer wear his outfit (you can see it in the film)!  He was scruffy looking (as he wanted The Bounty Hunter to be, so not necessarily a continuity issue, as he has been time traveling, so time has passed for him).

Scene of him behind the front door, scene of him and I in "the woods", and then off to the cemetery for his scenes in the background (doesn't have any speaking lines in this film).  Finished filming the scenes, then waiting for Heather, THANKFULLY Julia showed us this little park nearby, and it worked for the one scene (truly 3rd times a charm)!

We finally get there, and John took over at directing.  Was thinking of listing him as Assistant or Co-Director, but decided he would get the title of Directory of Photography (as two others based on the locations).

After finishing, dufuss drives up and asks if we were done, as he wanted to park where I was.  WTF?!  Park next to me, you dumbass PoS!  So, moved my car to the other side, as Heather got ready to go.

We stopped by The GoG meeting (very short), off to Arby's (no 5 for $5 like up here in GA), he went home, and took Heather to a store, before taking her to Julia's to crash for the night....

Now Playing: Going home (day 4)

Beginning the day in Lake Mary, FL, as Heather, Arthur and I go to the cemetery to film (olde part).  After what seemed a long time (Heather went off to take pictures), we got the main scenes down, ate (cutting a lot out of this!), and finally to GoG President's Julia's garage (just remembered, I went to her house on Friday, and filmed the intros and closings for the DVD and all 3 films)!

Filmed the scene with Julia and then Arthur, as well as Heather's part with Arthur (close-up shots; easier that way).  She and I then went into the garage for the scenes in the TARDIS control room (cleaned for the first time in years to film a larger part with the console)!

K-9 was... retrograded (meaning the "control panel" and side panel were removed, and I made SURE he at least looked like he was supposed to, but, it's not my dog), and the pieces were, somewhere.  Nonetheless, I all ready planned for K-9 to be in the film.

As it was now 5 minutes 'til 8pm (a long day), the one scene I was planning to film in Lakeland, which I planned to film in the garage, was postponed, again!

Going home (day 3)

Back in Orlando, on Friday the 13th, I was prepared to film in Lake Eola!  Before picking up Angie, I closed down my old bank account ONLY located in 2 locations (hope they go bankrupt), then bought a nice fadora that fit with my outfit (11th Dr/Prof. Jones/Jimmy Olsen) at Target.

Got lost!  Didn't think of having Angie print directions, as I went down the wrong road to get DT!  But, the timing was right (for me at least), as the wind died down, the insane women moved out of my filming site....  The broken fountain in the background (different that what I had in mind, but, things have changed since I left).

Went to Beefy King (after 5 years or more for me), we had identical orders (great minds), and 2 hours later, took her back to work.

Pretty much done with the day after that!

Going home (day 2)

After taking some pictures and spending some more time with Heather, I got into Orlando around noon, but, the weather was still crappy!  I was in my costume, prepared to film at Lake Eola (downtown Orlando), but, it was just bad outside.

Went to Full Sail to see my friend, Angie, just to make sure that Friday was still on, then went on to... SHOP!!!  Bought some comics I couldn't get at the... comic store up here (variant covers at cover price, Black Lantern Superman (though $3 more than Acme Comics), and an autographed copy of R.E.B.E.L.S. (cover price).  Hope my friend does have my Lantern Rings (with my Star Wars toys), as I can't get the ring for this issue!

Went to see my friend, Jimmy in Altamonte Springs.  Didn't take a picture of him for the gallery, but, I did get the filming I needed (will use screen capture program on new computer later).  Thought my new computer would have been worked on during the weekend (bought a 1TB harddrive and Windows 7, but, will be worked on this weekend, supposedly by my other friend).

After buying a lot of Star Wars stuff, I went to my other friend's house to spend the night, and get things organized, again....

Going home (day 1)

As I got on I-75 at 8am on Wednesday, I made my way back home to Orlando, but, I had to stop in Lakeland for the day.

Despite the construction, rain, and stoopid people driving, I made it to Lakeland in 6.5 hours.  There, my girl, Heather was waiting.  We were off to film her scene (which I wanted to do two, but with tourists and Bridezilla, and some darkness and drizzle, we did 1, and it was different that what I planned, but I liked it more.  Made me think of bringing another scene back in, and this one was in remembrance of her late kitty, Lucifer).

Cassidi was going to be there for her 2 different scenes (planning things), but, she couldn't make it due to other reasons.  Still, she was the only one who wanted to actually play the part of Cassie, so, it's her part, and I'll expand it in the novelization, as I will with the rest of the movie cast.

Night then fell, we went back to change, then out to eat.  Quite busy for Veterans Day, but, Romano's Maccaroni Grill was empty, and though the guy behind her was basically a bragging nutjob, it was a nice late dinner....

50 years of Math
Mood:  crushed out

This is for the teachers out there. What do you think?

Probably still a few schools teaching like the 50's and without calculators but it does make one pause.  Where do we go from here?

Fifty Years of Math 1959 - 2009 (in the USA )

Last week I purchased a burger at Burger King for $1.58. The counter girl took my $ 2 and I was digging for my change when I pulled 8 cents from my pocket and gave it to her. She stood there, holding the nickel and 3 pennies, while looking at the screen on her register. I sensed her discomfort and tried to tell her to just give me two quarters , but she hailed the manager for help. While he tried to explain the transaction to her, she stood there and cried. Why do I tell you this? Because of the evolution in teaching math since the 1950s:

1... Teaching Math In 1950s

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price. What is his profit ?

2. Teaching Math In 1960s

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price, or $80. What is his profit?

3. Teaching Math In 1970s

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80. Did he make a profit?

4. Teaching Math In 1980s

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80 and his profit is $20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20.

5. Teaching Math In 1990s

A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of $20. What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers, and if you feel like crying, it's ok. )

6. Teaching Math In 2009

Un hachero vende una carretada de maderapara $100. El costo de la producciones es $80. Cuanto dinero ha hecho?

Hate my job!
Mood:  irritated
Although everyone is suffering, my job doesn't know why sales are down!  Since people are trying to save instead of buying crap, food costs are higher (again), and so forth, this district (ASS) manager is a salesman!  He says to PUSH sales on people, but if someone doesn't want something, so be it (especially since the clientel are mostly, well, pieces of garbage!!!!!!!!
I won't post the name, as it will be online in seconds, but you know where to go for things a buck, and just the COMPLETE STUPIDITY of people that have to ask how much does something cost, and the frickin' sign is in front of their faces!
So, ass face says someone must be hired, but as sales are down, hours are being cut, and that means less hours, more work, and I wish and pray to win money, so I can tell them to go F*** themselves!
I'm tired of it all.
I should add that people are idiots, and are going to vote for the wrong person, again, and I will say I told you so, but that's for another blog (hopefully more to come)!!!

If Myspace was Real! (repost from a friend)
Mood:  cheeky
Tila Tequila would know everyone in the whole world.

19 year old boys wouldn't own shirts and 19 year old girls would not own pants.

If you're a fat girl, people would only see you from the shoulders up.

People would be able to photoshop out pimples on their face.

Girls would always be posing, cheeks sucked in and lips puckered two feet off their face.

Your attraction to someone would be based on their favorite clothing label, their favorite band, and a survey.

All females are bi and all males drive import muscle cars.

Most people would walk around with a full size mirror 2 feet in front of them.

Your driver's license would have hearts around your name or quote from an emo song.

It would be perfectly acceptable to blurt out any random filthy perverse sexual thought at any random woman/man you thought was "hawt" as a first greeting.

You would look your very best at all times.

Some people would be holding their right arm out straight in front of them at all times.

Everyone would make $100,000 a year or higher.

There would be alot of underage strippers in the world

There would be a lot of youthful looking 99 year olds.

You would have to paint your walls using Thomas Myspace Editor codes in your apartment.

When someone said something funny, you'd actually roll around on the floor and laugh your fucking ass off.

At nights when you are asleep you would get people running in your room that you don't know saying. "It's 4 a.m., I can't sleep, someone talk to me."

Bands go to your house and ask you to give them a listen because they see that you like a band they sound nothing like.

Anytime you walk into someones house they have the same video or song playing all the time, non-stop for three months straight.

People would run up to you, tell you a random message, and you'd have 17 minutes and 13 seconds to pass it along before a ghost came to your house and raped your dog.

People would inexplicably be stuck in their homes for hours unable to communicate with the out side world because some asshole put up a large white wall in front of every door and window with a note attached saying Sorry but and unexpected error has occurred.

Pisces Horoscope for 1/17/08
Mood:  irritated
Yikes! What an emotional day, dear Pisces. The planetary energies are forecasting conflict, and lots of it. Do your best to personally steer clear of any of it, and avoid being drawn into any arguments. You may wish to keep to yourself today, and tonight to either stay in or head out to the movies alone. Don't worry, everyone will be feeling much better tomorrow.
