Echoes and Reflections: The movie

I went to a D*C party....
Mood:  down
For me, D*C wasn't great. I hate large crowds, as people don't know what to do! This is not a con for kids, or people that need those motorized vehicles as they are too large to walk! There is A LOT of walking within the 4 hotels, and there is no room to walk as it is in the dealers rooms!

If I didn't follow the heard of sheep, I wouldn't have walked all the way around the other way, and would have saved 10 min to getting to the hotel I was going too! First time I've parked my car in Atlanta!

So, as I walked, then waited, talked to a couple of friends on the phone, wishing I could have seen some friends, and being dragged to a panel of how to speak Elvish (and it wasn't even prepared correctly, which bothered me the most, next to people that don't know how to GET OUT OF THE WAY WHEN I'M TRYING TO SEE WHAT THE DEALERS HAVE TO SELL, besides the overpriced items)....

Anyway, someone who was "so eager" to be in the film (even sent me the missing lines to the script after asking me which one) never returned my calls during D*C, so the scene was cancelled!

I got the other scene done (not specifically/visually acurate; he forgot his suit, but I need him in the scene), and additional co-directing from my best friend of almost 20 years (I can say that I've become more proud of him over time, especially since he's gone to college and is trying to improve after all these years, though he could NOT fit into in vest, so he has to work on THAT as well! He's not going to read this, so I can say I'm proud of him!), I got what was necessary.

As for the missing scene that I was willing to cut down as well just to include them in the film (I knew her daughter didn't care about it anyway), this is going even more specific, as this scene can't be filmed until I get back to Orlando next year, and would involve a hotel room....

The scene is where my character and a female (both from TORCHWOOD) arrive at the hotel room of a former companion of The Doctor. The scene is very short, yet important to the story (it's in the written, and enough is mentioned in the film, but would be nice to do).

If there was a convention in Orlando at the time, hence anyone traveling there (FX, Orlanddo Comic-Con, Hurricane WHO) and of course I'm down there, or anyone in the Orlando area, that would be great!

Back to D*C. So, I did get my birthday presents (yeah, he hasn't seen me since MegaCon which was a waste of time for me, not knowing that I couldn't trust an actor from Troma Films) and they are VERY NICE, got to do the bit of filming, saw a couple of other friends (one is now ADDICTED to Dr WHO; now only if his wife would as well, especially since she's my 1st female Dr in my stories), it could have been A WHOLE LOT BETTER! Thank goodness I didn't pay to get in (just parking, gas, lot of sweating), but it was worth the 2 hour drive to see the few friends I did. Well, yeah.

As for what's left, 3-4 more scenes left in GA. 1 in my den, one in Andersonville (which is more like 2, but it's all in the same area), re-do of the park scene (with the backlight button on; with or without a cameraman), and the Air Force Museum. That, I have to see. I need two actors from Solid Ground, but one is having problems, and the other is not responding.

Orlando will have the remaining scenes:

One at an undisclosed location, one at Lake Eola, some in a wooded area, and of course, in The TARDIS control room!!!!!

I have a new epilogue to replace the 3rd one, and I await one from my gal pal in England (awesome)!

I just have to watch it all and get the time codes down for editing. Then, I have to see if my TV editor will do it or not. I also have the 1st two films that need work and touch-ups as well.

Something to look forward to in Orlando, as I'll be more pumped to do it all....

Filming times
Mood:  chillin'

I am planning still to film at Dragon*Con on Labor Day weekend (Saturday and if need be, Sunday).

In October (3rd weekend), I will be in Orlando to film at Lake Eola Park, Lake Mary on Saturday (if need be, Sunday).

November (for 2 weeks), I will be in San Jose, CA (hopefully).  I have some various places I want to film at.

I still have to re-do one scene at home, do another shoot at the local park, still have to go back to Andersonville Prision Museum with a CHARGED battery in both video and digital camera, do some shots over at the Air Force museum as well.

I wanted to do a short, short film / teaser trailer, but it seems that's fallen through by the main actor, so I still need him and another actor who is in the film to do one more scene for the intro of the film.

I believe my best friend in England will have some footage for me for the end of the film (and I asked again another friend to do a scene with her hubby).  I am hoping for my best friend's footage the most!

So, no trip in December (thank goodness), and HOPEFULLY get this all done next year, to sell all 3 films on DVD later in the year.

I should start watching the 1st film, get the last tape to disc, and get it done!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hot time, Summer in the city....
Mood:  not sure

What a magnificant shoot today!

Another former co-star from Solid Ground (Dez) and his wife joined me for re-filming one scene I tried to do a couple of weeks ago, and he will not only get credit for camera operator and extra, BUT, director of photography (Byron Park).  He had a lot of ideas for camera angles, and though it was HOT outside, I know it had to be cooler than filming outside in Orlando!!  Wearing a leather jacket and a sweater vest is not the best outfit, but with some of my powers, I got a little wind here and there.  Saw the choo-choo go by too (filmed next to the tracks; small train thankfully).

Although the scene is broken up onto 2 tapes (end of one, middle of another), Dez was magnificant in directing, and though I can't use all the footage, I may have to put it at the end with the bloopers to show there was more footage that was really cool!

I know I have to go through the footage of my first film, as the second trailer has been released on YouTube (one piece of footage has changed, but the trailer is awesome), write the script, yadda, yadda, yadda....

Nothin'
Mood:  irritated
Internet failed, so I have to re-write this blog, AGAIN!

SO, the shots in The Byron park were not spectacular. I need to see if I can get my friend to participate, as he wanted to be in the film (still waiting for the reply), so I can get the close-ups, and put him in the scene (for the intro).

The trip to Andersonville failed (don't trust the big billboard either, as I KNOW it took longer to get there), as my video AND digital cameras died (hmmm, batteries drained in a battlefield of lost souls)! My friend wants to go back there (this time, it will be a Saturday), so with back-up batteries, I will film pan shots for the intro, and get more pics for my photo albums. He wants to take more pics, and see the 27 min movie as well. Plus, going back to The Air Force Museum for more pics (and another pan shot for the intro).

I need to get out of this slump, and start writing the film's script, yet things always change. I can write for what is done, for those who will be ready (so I need to give them their lines). I DO need to get 2 males at Dragon*Con to replace a couple of others who fail to help me out again. I need fans who want to help, as trusting "actors" isn't worth it.

Filming continues!
Mood:  mischievious

After 2 other locations I was going to film at (in my house), I finally filmed The Valeyard's scene in the den, though if I had a camera operator with me, I would have done a bit more, AND not have had ANOTHER costume problem (which that can be fixed in editing).

I am waiting for another cast member of Solid Ground (you know, that show I guest starred on a couple of times) to reply, as two other SG members have no problem being in a brand new scene I thought of, and I REALLY want this scene in the film, as it and at 2 other scenes, well... are actually from the sequel story!

The VERY first scene I wanted to use is from the ill-fated 2nd film of The GoG (after 12 years, I now have given up hope all together), and yet, I can't get it from the producer, but that small scene (which stated everything for me), will be it's own story (well, it sets ALL the different stories that I plan; Identity Crisis, Alternate Responses, Echoes & Reflections, etc.)!

Other than that, I wasn't planning on anything, especially since my plans to California are indefinately cancelled, ESPECIALLY since Delta is raising their prices 15-20%!!!!  The family reunion after 15 years is more important, but a couple of location shots (without me in it, now) would have been nice!

I still plan to be in Rock City (Georgia) and The Chattanooga Choo-Choo (Holiday Inn in Chattanooga, TN) just to film the background, as the idea is still Amagon is searching for The Valeyard in these various locations, but the tie-in now is... well, part of the story sequel!

If only I can get certain people to be in my film by sending me clips, as they are still important to me!

Thoughts
Mood:  sharp

I was talking with my co-star (as usual), about things, and I pondered what I was going to do with this new "cherry-picked" universe I created (this new film, it's story sequel, and chapter 12 of Time Infractions; not going to do ANYTHING with the first 2 GoG Doctors).

I was thinking that I would probably bring back characters I killed off in the old and new timeline, but then again, since I don't have all the stories done in either, I don't know if I will kill off some characters at all, and I'll just leave them out completely.

When I get to it, I'll write down the names and see if I'll include them at all, since I only have 3 stories, I already killed off a few, so I guess the list isn't that much to look at.

Just a random thought, as usual.

Thoughts of the future
Mood:  energetic

(2nd attempt)

So, I jotted down notes of each agent of TORCHWOOD will have a small mission to find a missing individual (as the individual is already dead when they gather together in the hotel scene).

There is something else, but I will post it on the website.

Mega(con) Failure!
Mood:  crushed out

Well, I thought I was going to film at MegaCon in Orlando.

First, I did get to film one scene in Lakeland, FL (even if it was cloudy outside, and this was right before it got REALLY nasty in the weather there) on Friday.

Saturday, paid $6 for parking, $22 or so for getting in, and it was a reminder to me WHY I HATE CONVENTIONS!

Basically, there was no place to film there (though my former sidekick showed me there was a mile long catwalk to the old convention center, which was the perfect place to film, BUT, the two actors I needed weren't ready for filming, so now it's rushed at Dragon*con, and that's IF they aren't lying to me, and we do film)!

I had 2 of the 4-6 actors I wanted, but without the 2 from GA, it was pointless!

I now have to work on the what if again (it happened already), re-film another scene I did (just in case), re-think another's part, and change the sequel, but no matter what, kill off the 2 actor's characters no matter what!

I hope I get all I need to get done at Dragon*Con in 1-2 days!

Now Playing: A sequel????

Yep, I kept going back and forth with this idea for a TORCHWOOD story, and I decided... yes, it WILL be a sequel to my film/story version!

WTF?

I haven't even written the entire script yet (nor the story version which will go into a little more detail, as usual), and now a frickin' sequel?

The TORCHWOOD story was planned before this film, but with the ideas of how this film/story ends (as the flashback sequence is now the scenes of friends at that moment in time), I now plan on using them in the new story, bring back a couple of characters from the film (yep), re-doing the title of this sequel, re-structuring the way it fits on my list, and as I have been elusive (especially on my website, which the new page is not "declassified" yet,  I WILL say this:

The Master is in the film!  There is a Time Lady in it, and there are others....  For a spoiler of what I have planned in the sequel story, dead is not always dead....  Sealed

Filming and disappointments

Sunday: I get to the Super 8, and I was told they wouldn't take the coupon 'til after 4pm, and with AAA, the discount was enough to cover the room tax!  It was the room I wanted, but I'm sending in a bad comment card.

The ELUSIVE Chace Ambrose did NOT show up for filming (nor answered his phone), and of course, I did think I needed my outfit for anything, so I didn't bring it, but had to be in the scene I wasn't planning on.  I'll have to work on continuity of my outfit change for Dragon*Con (just got an idea).  UPDATE: Chace emailed me back, and said he's been very sick, so send those positve thoughts towards him, as he needs them!  Knew there had to be a reason, yet Mitchell hasn't contacted me....  Need to update my DW movie blog.

I never had a good concept of time, so it took A LOT longer to film than I thought.  Would I change things if I could, yes, I think I could shave it down to half the time and more, but honestly, it was nice to be with the cast/crew of Solid Ground again, albeit the owner of that Super 8 was nosy, yet they overcharge for the room, so screw them!

I noticed on film, I AM loosing more hair!  I knew I was, but damn!  I used to have A LOT.  Damn customers pissing me off!  Damn hotels ripping me off!  Damn hot women turning me way and not getting me....

All in all, it was a very good day for me, but of course, things could have been better (especially if I was an iron worker who spend $1K a week on lottery tickets and won The Mega Millions jackpot last Friday)!!!

YES, the film will be delayed 'til next year, because I have filming to do in Lakeland and Lake Mary, FL (an hour apart) in December, but I can't get the people I need together 'til the GoG Christmas party (where I will be auctioneer from now on).  Most of the film will be done (have to ask about editing from my end), but, I have the other two films that can be edited/fixed and released under Fone Booth Productions....

Monday: hard drive is dead, and it has all my ideas and memories.  If I had the money, in a second I would get it accessed!  All my work, gone.
